Dental Implant Complication Solutions
Dental Implants are extremely predictable and successful (greater than 95% – success). Unfortunately on occasion, we do see dental implant complications. This can come from gum disease (peri-implantitis) or with inappropriately placed or restored dental implants. These complications can be difficult to fully correct. They usually result from bone loss due to infection, excess dental cement or receding gums due to implant positioning. Dr. Love and Dr. Butler are specialists with many years of training and experience with dental implants. They know when an implant should be replaced or when it is possible to correct and solve the problem with the existing dental implant. There are various techniques they employ, such as Laser Gum Disinfection, Gum Grafting or Bone Grafting protocols to treat these situations. We pride ourselves on discussing and educating our patients on what options are available. We work together to solve these difficult dilemmas.
